Recently, a woman left a one-star review for my book Collette's Dream Man. Her tersely-worded writeup had little to say about the actual book ostensibly under discussion; rather, she only wished to register her disapproval of the author and his choice of subject matter, given what she understood to be his profession:
"I find it creepy (she wrote) that the author is a professor at a school in Savannah and wrote about an inappropriate student relationship based in Savannah... just saying."

In early 2015, I formed what proved to be a hare-brained scheme.
My plan was to compose a romance novel, but to improve upon the generally literarily threadbare genre with something really substantial and truly worthwhile.
